Standard 69' Cluster to Rally. Plug wiring diagram.
(Preview)
I've traced both clusters and have made up two diagrams of the plug wiring. The first shows the original 1969 Full size Pontiac standard instrument cluster configuration, with the Rally cluster to the right. The Rallys wiring is likely unique to the USA car, athough it is possible Canadian Cars w...

1969 Instrument Cluster differences
(Preview)
Broke out some of my collection today. Most didn't make it through the 80s with radio hole intact I have one good piece to build. But the mid-year stuff on these cars still blows me away. Always very subtle but everywhere you look. One has a chrome band around the stainless insert. None of the others I h...

Dismantling the door of a '65 Pontiac Laurentian...
(Preview)
Hey... So I just picked up this 1965 Laurentian 4-door sedan that has a 283 w/ powerglide and (among other ailments...) sticky doors & windows. I want to take the door panels off, scrub the crap out and fix it all up but I can't seem to get past the door handles & window cranks... How are the secure...

1965 Laurentian headliner install.
(Preview)
So now I've reached a biggie (at least in my mind). Doing the headliner in my 65. I'll try to document this one the best I can, as it might actually be useful to others. Once done the headliner, glass in, the car can get it's safety and be finally put on the road! Still a ways away yet, I still have to pull the b...

Repair/Restoring 1965 Laurentian sedan door panels post.
(Preview)
Getting into some work finally on the Laurentian doorpanels. Tired of driving it around bare. It's not a good look to be sure. Ugly. So I figured this job might be suitable for a little needed post, so why not! Anyways, the panels on the 65 as found were in tough shape. All the upper vinyl was wasted, the m...

Hey everyone, I'm trying to gather all the parts for the interior, bought mirror assembly but the mirror screw from OPGI doesn't fit the mirror's thread. Does anyone know the screw size for attaching mirror to it's base and screw sizes for attaching base to the ceiling. Also it seems to be a mix of diffe...

Hey everyone, I'm wondering if there were any successful attempts to install 3 point seat belts on 1965 Parisienne/Bonneville/Catalina? Would the top anchor go to the roof or the side panel? Thanks in advance for any info.

Starting to put the interior back into our 66 Impala which I assume is the same as a 66 Pontiac. When the rear package tray was removed it was just a piece of old carpet, all the OEM stuff was gone, so there is no reference. Now I have an insulating pad and a new cardboard package tray from NOS and was wonderin...

Convertible rear speaker
(Preview)
Recently saw a picture of a 1970 catalina convertible with a speaker in the middle of the rear seat back. Did not think this was an option for my 1970 Parisienne convertible as i have not seen one in the 46 years I have had the car! The parts book is also vague so if anyone knows let me know. Maybe this guy inst...

1967 Grande Parisienne station wagon folding seat
(Preview)
I was talking to a friend last night who was telling me about a rare 60/40 folding second row seat for a 66 Caprice station wagon. I didn't realize they had such a thing. 40 years ago I had a 67 Grande Parisienne wagon and I can't recall if it was a regular second row seat that folded entirely as one piece? Doe...

Finally getting around to the point a carpet can soon be installed in the 65 Laurentian. Any tips for a successful job? It's a 4 speed floor shift, so I figure I get one chance to cut the opening just right. It's an ACC through NOS Reproductions.
