1963 parisienne convertible

I am wondering what the hardest pieces that are specific to a 63-64 Parisienne Convertible are to locate. When I was a teenager my cousin had a 1963 Parisienne convertible 283  bucket seat  2 speed powerglide on the floor with a consule. We lived in Timmins and whenever he came from Toronto we got to cruise around town in this car with the top down. He passed away a couple of years ago and this was always his favorite car.  It was blue with a white top and blue interior. I do not remember if the car had any options,  tinted glass power window etc. If I ever find one what do I need to look at besides the general frame floor and body rust.  What would make one really unique and different with rare options and accessories. I sort of had a tunnel vision for the 55 57 Canadian pontiacs for so long I need to expand my interests.

Thanks Al

First of all Albert, 1963 Parisiennes are a totally different body style/trim design than 1964 Parisiennes.

I can only truly speak for 1964 Parisiennes, but I imagine that some of the hard to get pieces for a '63 would be the same. I would say that the pot metal trim parts and emblems would be hard to get in nice shape, along with rust-free rear quarter panels (exclusive to Canadian Parisiennes). There are also a few interior pieces that are exclusive to '63 Canadian Parisiennes that may be hard to get.

When it comes to 1964 Parisiennes, the Custom Sport model's lower trim package (pot metal) is very hard to get in nice shape, along with the same parts mentioned for the '63 Parisiennes above.

All mechanicals, running gear, and the frames are pretty easy to get (Chevrolet) as you probably already know.

As for "rare options and accessorie" ... the higher horsepower 327, the 409 ci. in it's various horsepower ratings, 4-speed, tachometer, power options (antenna, windows, defogger, etc.), positraction, are the main ones that come to mind. There are a lot of lesser ones (2 colour paint, suspension packages, special tires, etc.

Thanks, I thought the difference in the 63 and 64 were only minor but when you really look at the two cars not much is interchangeable sheet metal wise.

Thanks Al
