There is also one AM/FM from a sixties car. I would not chuck out any of them !  You can have a lot of fun at a flea market with them and make somebody really happy. Price them at $10 a piece and when somebody id's one of them ask them if they have the car to go with it, if they do make their day and give it too them with a handshake and say its for free.

Cool old radios... lotsa style in some of them!  Sad to think that out here in my part of NS there aren't any AM radio stations left to play on them.  Sometimes you can pick up some US stations on a clear night, however.

I was wondering, would some of the older radios still have tubes in them?  If so, rather than throw them away would it be worthwhile harvesting some of the tubes?  I like the idea of giving them away at a swap meet as somebody might just need one of the radios or parts thereof.

For that matter, those nice old chrome faceplates could make neat garage art....
