Hi every one ...can some one tell me exactly what tranny I have in my bone stock 66 389 Bonneville?  Should it be a TH400? I'm looking for a rebuild kit and a shift kit. All the kits i have found are for 67 and up ! I know this is a bit of a daft question but I have looked all over the web with out much luck...thanks J

I don't know my US Pontiacs real well but I am pretty sure it's a 400, yes.

My 65 Catalina has a TH400.

65 Catalina 2+2 421 4bbl,  Auto, White, w/red interior, Buckets w/column shift.

66 Grande Parisienne, 2dr HT, 327 4bbl, Auto.

Had the 66 since about 83 and the 65 since 88.
Both still require a lot of work.
