early 67 sd for sale in washington

if anyone is interested, there is a early 67 sd for sale in washington. asking price $14,750 usd. it has a 454, turbo 400 and posi rear end, power steering, power brakes, msd ignition, buckets, floor shift. i looked at the car and mechanically it is good. runs very well and drives very well. body wise it has an older restoration by the previous owner which is, "very heavy on the bondo", shall we say. lower rear quarters have been replaced by overlapping the panels, and trunk pan was replaced using just a flat sheet of steel, etc...  solid, but not very pretty.

car has been kept very dry, so the only obvious rust is a very small spot under the back window/sail panel trim in each corner of the window.   the interior was originally med red, but has been redone in 70's vintage velour/vinyl, with the dash, kick panels, headliner and seat backs painted over with black.

car has a few minor scrapes here and there in the paint, but no dents. one large bondo bubble on left rear tail light.

all of the brightwork is in nice condition except the rear bumper has a small bend and a small dent. beaumont  and sport deluxe badges are faded, but undamaged. most importantly the grill is in very good condition, better than my fully restored 67 vert actually. missing only the wheel well moldings and quarter panel script. as this is an early sd, it may not have come with the sd script on the rear quarters, but it is available anyway.

overall impression is that the car is a very solid, 20 foot driver, with gobs of bondo, that if kept dry could be driven for the next 10 years as is, but really screams for someone to put the 30g into it to return her to her former glory.

anyone interested can contact the owner, dave hajec, at 206 200 2634 cell.

It doesn't have L34 on the trim tag so it would have been a small block car, either 283 or 327. It was Silverglaze with red bucket seat interior.

i am not sure what it came with from the factory. as it was a pre 738 car, it could have been any v8. may need the gm docs to determine that. i believe the owner is working on getting those.
also he still has the prevoius owner's info, and he may know what it came with.

...Same deal as mine Cheetah 427. My cowl tag doesn't show L34 either. But it's a GM documented early #736VIN "SD" car.

yes, the car has a lot of good points. big block is great, tranny works as it should, and the posi performs excellent. it's an SD, and most of the chrome and badging are very good. the car is very solid, but just has had some sloppy bodywork done. and if only the original interior was still there......damn! lol.
dave is quite motivated to have the car return to canada also.

Gm docs would be nice to see... Might have had a vinyl top and bumper guards fom the factory... Nice colour combo, just needs to lose the Chevy emblems...

Is it my eye, or is there something odd about the drivers side rear quarter? The lower crease and panel below it don't look right to me. Maybe just the angle or the light.
Otherwise she looks like a nice driver!
