67 Beaumont Tachometer

I've recently been offered this tach being told it is for a 67 Beaumont.

Can anyone verify this is a 67 Beaumont tach and what would be a fair price

to offer.........the person is asking $275 plus shipping

Bernie

It looks to be the correct one for a 66 Beaumont (which I believe is also the same as a 67 Beaumont, but we'll see if someone else chimes in.) With regards to the '65 comment, I do believe these '66 Beaumont tachs came out of the 65 Lemans parts bin...
I picked up the same one from Kelico on ebay some time ago (but have yet to take it out of it's box).
One last comment, they are reproduced which is of benefit if you've updated your ignitions system I believe.

Yes, as stated, same tach for all years, 64-67 Beaumont.

Some guys say the original tach won't last if you run a late model electronic ignition, some guys report no issues running the tach with electronic. The jury is out on that one.

 Appreciate everyone's help here..........

I am assured by the electronics guys on the 409 web site that this is the cure

for using old factory tachs with newer hei, pertronix etc......I am about to order several

I feel the same about my in dash tach on the 66 Impala......but after reading the thread on the

409 site and them recommending this filter, I'm convinced........

I was under the impression that this is what a tachometer for a 67 Beaumont looked like.

No, that will fit but that is a GTO/Lemans unit, never offered in Canada.

That's the right tach.. I'd check the part numbers on the back to see what it is, just for curiosity sake..
price doesn't seem too outlandish either..

hard to find for Beaumont or GTO.. so.. get it if you can

This is the tach that's in my car. It was hooked up to a HEI ignition, wired direct. Seemed to work fine.
