Wow, is that thing ever nice! Bucket but no console. Power windows. The entry-level 396 with the TH400 transmission would have come with highway 2.73 rear gears. Notice that the engine was produced on December 13th but wasnt installed for almost 4 months. Capri Cream is not a common colour.
For the condition, rarity and desirability I dont think the price is out of line. It will probably end up with some rich collector in the U.S. though.

In 1965 the auxiliary rear speaker would have been at the bottom of the top well, but water or dirt would have gravitated into it so they moved them for 1966. That 1967 would have had a wedge shaped speaker box fastened to the upper back side of the rear seat. If the top was down it would have muffled the sound and not reflected into the roof. With the boot in place, forget it!

Thanks for the insight! I've never seen one of those before. (Tempted to ask the owner for a photo of that feature.)
So was the wedge shaped box the same for 66 and 67?
Thx again.

I think so but it needs to be confirmed. I have a 1964-69 Beaumont Parts Manual somewhere but I haven't been able to find it since we emptied the house for renovations 2 years ago. I'm pretty sure someone else on this site has a copy of that manual and could confirm part #s.

I remember seeing online pictures posted of that car in 2011. They evidently were taken at the Penticton car show and it had a "for sale" sign on it. The price at that time was $72,000.
