66 and 67 (?) B Body Auto Console Shifter Hump Linkage Brackets etc. For Sale

It's been about a year since I pulled the powerglide out of my 66 GP and started the 4 speed conversion on it. This is the complete setup that I removed. I have a hard time parting with things sometimes, and this is one of them! A couple of people have inquired, and I said not for sale until I finally came to my senses and realized I can't keep everything. So, here goes..........

66 Grande Parisienne auto console, shifter, floor hump, wire harness, floor brackets, heater deflector duct, shift rod, kickdown linkage and attaching hardware. The box in the back of the last picture also has the flexplate and torque converter bolts in it.

This is NOT some junky wrecking yard piece but it is NOT a show console either. The plastic base has no visible cracks or pieces missing. The major flaw in this setup is small ding/depression right in the middle of the console compartment lid, and the rear lens is broken. The paint on the plastic is fading, as is the woodgrain. The carpet is coming unglued along the right side.

If you want to convert to floor shift, this is the way to do it, rather than buying a console on ebay, a shifter from who knows what, repro console brackets from someone else, etc etc...

Enough sales pitch. I am asking $900 for the whole setup. If you think I am nuts and my price is way out to lunch, please remember this is not a what's-it-worth-post I'm making!

If you are interested and willing to make a serious offer on it, I would like to see it go to a good home.

I believe it is also correct for 66 or 67 Caprice except the little Caprice emblem on the back behind the door is obviously not on this unit.

Clearly my price must be too high. I can't imagine there is no response to this ad due to there being no demand.

If you are seriously interested in this, feel free to make me an offer. I guarantee you will not hurt my feelings. I will also guarantee I will consider your offer regardless of price. However, the time taken to consider it will decrease as the dollar value of the offer decreases!

If I feel it's a ridiculously low offer, you will just get a polite reply saying "thank you but no, I can't do it".

As strange as it may sound, I often thought a console and buckets would look perfect in my 4 door HT. Certainly buckets would be far easier to build than a Strato bench.

I see a 63 4Dr HT Parisienne around that had it done properly. It looks like it totally belongs. Makes the car even more "open air" looking inside than it already is.

Question, Would this console be easy to convert to 3 speed?

Mark, That's a great idea, I love that look of buckets console in a 4drHT. Gives it that sporty/elegant look.
Easily made into a 3 speed, detent plate, indicator plate and safety switch change over from a 3sp console shifter, if you can find one.
You can buy new conversion parts from Shiftworks, they even have 4sp OD conversion kits.

I remember seeing buckets and console in a full size Buick wagon, about a 63, in a wrecking yard. Apparently they could be ordered that way. I just smiled and thought "How cool is that"?

So why not a 4 door hardtop as well.....

Poking around, I see there is a good bit of stuff reproduced for this console. Carpet, a rear lens, 3 speed indicator, new aluminum trim, ash tray, So it's all within the realm of possible to do the swap. I think I even saw repop bucket seat floor mounts at some point.

Thanks for the Shiftworks link Dan! Impressive!

Now... anyone have a set of buckets and a floor shift column for sale?
