Don't get me wrong, I'm not whining or being a pessimist. It's just not in the plans for someone who is working towards downsizing from 35 acres to more like .35 of an acre! I just have to be realistic. And yes, as much as I loved that 65, I'm learning to live without it, even though it had been with me almost 1/2 my life.
But a 2 door post 300 horse stick sure would be cool. Besides having the documents for a 327 stick post car, I also was told of one that has been sitting in a garage since the 80's. I'll never get to see it and it's "never for sale".... However, we all know every car gets sold sooner or later.

I LIKE THEM PLAIN , I LOVE BENCH SEATS , POVERTY CAPS,NO TRIM.
I HAVE THIS THING FOR A 4 DOOR 65 BISCAYNE 6 CYL STD DONT KNOW WHY ?
I had no choice. Our daughter decided she wants something different at 21 (likely a T/A like momma has) and I need to get down to one car. For that one car, I want a big block stick.
It was only 26+ years with me, not like we were attached or anything! Seriously, I know it was the right thing to do, but yes, it wasn't easy.
Thread is now 100% derailed...

It is rough but it does have some good pieces for my current build. I will see what is left over and make a twin maybe :)

Here is the Gem that we picked up the other weekend, of course it was flipping cold out! It seemed that there was a lot of tire kickers but no one came out to look which resulted in a purchase price lower than the asking price :) We go this car with the intention of it being parts for our two Acadians but......well we will see

It is pretty solid overall. The floor boards have issues - common and there is a replacement, the quarters have issues - common and there are replacements, the rear body panel is pooched, but there is a replacement for that also. The fenders are good used, hood is new, trunk lid is new, doors are great, has all glass, seats (buckets), a lot of the trim, the car was worth the price just in replacement sheet metal. It is a basket case but what is missing is easily gotten if I don't have it all ready, got to finish mine first!

And the metal that it needs is actually not that expensive. I bought floors a while back and was amazed, they were not a pile of money and thickness/fit etc was great.

Yeah the aftermarket has really stepped up on the parts quality! We use a lot of "restoration" parts at our shop and these parts get better all the time. The Aftermaket fenders I have on my Acadian dint take very much massaging to get fit up properly
