It's my pleasure to feature another convertible for November. Marshall Dutka is the proud owner of this 1967 Beaumont Sport Deluxe clone convertible. Marshall's big block powered Beaumont has had several updates to improve drive-ability and increase horsepower. Marshall fills in the blanks for us:
Hi my name is Marshall. I live north of Winnipeg Manitoba. I bought this '67 Beaumont 2 years ago.
I didn’t know much about Beaumonts and I was unaware it was not a Sport-Deluxe. However, being a big block convertible I loved the car. It has a 454 bored out to a 468. The transmission is a 700r4 with overdrive.
I did numerous upgrades including a new top, new lift cylinders, carpet, BF Goodrich redline tires , and an aluminum rad with 2 fans. I detailed the motor compartment, installed a 3in Magnaflow exhaust, a 7in chrome brake booster, replaced the master cylinder, and finally added a MSD Atomic EFI .
I know it’s a clone but it turns heads wherever it goes .I enjoy attending all local car shows, and was really unaware so many beautiful cars exist I was fortunate enough to win best Pontiac at the Garden City show in Winnipeg last September. I’m not sure if Beaumont's are under the Pontiac division but obviously the judges liked it. Hopefully you like it too.
"So when you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think... The good outnumber you, and we always will." Patton Oswalt
Congrats there Marshal, so very nice to see your car at the top of the page. One of my favorite colors and it was a privilege to meet you and see it at the Tavern in Winnipeg.
90% of the people at car shows wouldn't know it's a clone.
