fuse block

Hi  I'am looking for a NOS fuse block or a very good used one. I don't know if there is any new ones being produced out there. I need it for my 1956 Pontiac. They are located below the dash in the left foot well area.

I expect we'd need to know whether it's a US Pontiac or a Cdn Pontiac.  I suspect they'd be different.

Welcome from Barrie Ontario Doug. Your 56 is a U.S. model by the pictures you posted. If it is the rust on the fuse contacts that are a concern, just remove the existing fuses and clean all contacts with sandpaper and a brass wire brush. Put in new fuses and as you clean look for any wires that could become future problems. You have a beautiful car that has been cared for from new so cleaning up the original box would be a good option.

1956 American Pontiac fuse block is different than Canadian Pontiac. If you had a Canadian Pontiac, you would be better off since the fuse block is same as Chevrolet and not hard to find. No one makes ANY repro parts for 1956 Americn Pontiac, not enough demand. You could try these sources to see what they might have:

Ames Performance Engineering http://www.amesperf.com/

California Pontiac Restoration http://www.pontiacparts.net/

Performance Years Pontiac http://performanceyears.com/default.asp
