My first car was a 68 Parisienne fastback, but I never got it on the road... The next car that I bought and actually drove was a 65 Malibu SS, 283/powerglide and it was a fun car. Sold it to a buddy, he fixed abunch of little things on it and re-sold it. I found it years later in front of a house and went and asked about it. It was the
son's car and he took the engine apart and left it, Bought it back for $350, but was never the same. Sold it to a guy who was gonna make a stock car out of it.

i still have my 55 gmc. as a teenager i always wanted a mid fifties gmc with a small back window, shortbox with a v8. when this one became available i couldn't get the shekels out fast enough.
Although it was'nt my first car, it was my first decent (not needing resto) car a 1973 Grand Am. I just turned 18 when some friends told me about a nice Grand Am stored in a garage their boat was in. It was five years old and only driven it's first three then stored. When we checked it out it turned out to a clean orginal car, 7.4 ltr, silver with oxblood interior and honeycombs, just like the dealer brochure. It was'nt long before we struck a deal and I had my new car. The owners brother had a 74 Grand Am that was repainted in black which I liked alot so within the year I stripped my car and had it painted black. Next were the wheels. Bigger were better and the Grand Am had a big wheel housing able to fit ten inch rims on the rear, seven on the front and gave it a great stance. We used the car alot for the next few years even in our wedding. The paint begain to show wear and it needed attention, time for it to go back into storage. That was 1981 and it stayed there until 1990 when it was time to be freshened up to start using it again. 1991 it was back on the road, attending some shows, taking us our summer vacation but all along intending on moving on to somthing different, so that fall at Barrie flea market it was sold to a young fellow that was there with his father looking for his first car. He later sent me pictures of his improvements (NASA hood, better tires, ect). Always wondered if it survived. Barry
