63 Radio speaker / glove box

Assuming a 63 Belair is the same as a 63 Laurentian under the dash,

is it possible to install the glove box with the heater and radio speaker in place?

Can get the glove box in with the heater in place as long as the speaker which is above

the glove box is not installed.

I put the heater in last week before the speaker and glove box but don't seem to be able to

install the glove box if the speaker is there.

Can't imagine changing a speaker requires removing the heater.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Notes from Internet     (all I could find)

1.

My 63s glove box went in easily. You want to bring it in from underneath the dash not through the actual glovebox opening. 63s and 64s glove boxes are about the same exact thing.

yup - it definitely goes in from underneath but if the heater and the speaker are installed it seems

impossible to get the box in without destroying it......this is a new box, would like to keep it that way

Are you sure you have the correct box. I do know that for 65 full size there is a different glove box air vs no air.
Also know that a 65 Chev box isn't the same as a 65 Cdn Pontiac. Had to buy the American Pontiac box. ( anyone need a 65 Chev box? )

apparently this is what someone did in 1977 to replace the speaker........but

did not glue the cut piece back in...........guess that was (is) the secret........cut & Paste...

I know it was 1977 as there is a repair sticker w/1977 on it on the speaker and radio
