Which is the correct mirror for a 65 SD I have searched the internet for many images of the car and I have seen mostly round one,s however, I have also seen a few rectangle one's also. Did they come with both or were the rectangle one's installed because round was unavailable?
Round head only. The usual mirror had a pointed end on the base in 1964/65, then the end went squared off for 1966/68. The remote controlled mirror also had a round head but those are very rare (are available reproduction but are around $120+).
Square heads weren't used on Beaumonts until 1968 on the optional remote controlled mirror, then the regular mirror went rectangular for 1969.

Below is a correct style mirror except for the Chevy "bowtie" emblem. The Chevelles in Canada didn't use the bowtie emblem since the parts were shared with Beaumonts.
Below is the 1966-68 style:
Finally the 1969 Beaumont mirror:

Ames Performance Products has your correct mirror (without the Bowtie).

Hi rosies car. The pictures that Pontiacanada posted look identical to the ones I purchased from Car Parts Discount for my '64 CS. Item 6167, 9 (OEM D-1580x2) sold individually for $43.45 or $90.35 for a pair. They are interchangeable for the left and right side. I am very pleased with the quality of mine, triple chrome with a deep finish. These mirrors are new, not re-chromed. Good luck!
you bought that nice mirror with the Pistols C D as a bonus .......cool
Ya, it's actually the installation instructions for the mirror on CD performed by The Sex Pistols. Imagine following those instructions!

SO DARYL BY SEEING MY PIC AND YOURS WHO HAS THE AS CORRECT MIRROR ?????????
Yours may be correct for a Beaumont, I don't know, (sometimes the dealers installed a mirror out of their dealership parts dept.) but I absolutely do know that the mirrors Pritch & I have are correct for a '64 Parisienne. My old original mirror is identical to the ones Pritch & I posted. They are also listed as '64 for Pontiac in the Ames catalogue.

I would like to thank all of you for your input and links to different sites. I have found a few suppliers that stock the mirrors that you have displayed and I agree with all of you about the bowtie NO!.
