My 2 cents........................ simple is better and cleaner, why paint stripes on a car because you have white paint hanging around, some guys just can't
leave a car alone.......... the stripes are a distraction and take away from the lines of a beautiful car as is, I see classic cars as art, art is diminished by distraction, your eye is drawn to minor part of the subject.

my 2 cents................... Stripes were  a factory option   If GM made it    It has to be good      Art is a matter of perception   and those cars are gorgeous with stripes

thanks Mark - I like them all - so guess I'll have to have them all one at a time ! I always loved my Blue one, I had bugged to buy yours for years from the original owner then found the blue one then I was able to get yours - John bugged my like crazy for yours - I always knew not to sell the blue one -- my big mistake was not buying the other blue one in Grimsby but I wasn't really in financial shape at the time (the threat from the ex-husband didn't help) and probably even less now

thanx Ken....I also have a copy of that.....and remember talking to you many times at Mapleview too.

Almost got in a fight over selling mine back in 2002..........had several potential buyers and then one that

met my price......the car at the time was in a shop I shared in Richmond Hill and on a Sunday the buyer, his wife and

his dog and me went up to see the car..........I just didn't feel right all the way up.

Well we shook hands and just as he was getting out the cash and as I was about to sign the B O S,

I said ....the deal is off......YIKES - he went nuts, him and his wife and his dog all started barking at me.

Maybe it was the fact he brought his dog to view a car but something pissed me off and he almost broke the

shop door on the way out - I had to call for a ride as he left me there.........glad I never sold it.

Later that year my son learned to drive a stick in it.......so I know it will stay in the family.

Congrats ! I remember you were 'talking' about a 'sale' to keep a 409 chev in 96 or 97 or 98 when I spoke with you - glad you kept it - that car got me to buy my 67 Custom in 1984

One thing that stands out to me concerning that Deepwater Blue Beaumont SD that is the subject of this thread, the interior has a mixture of light blue & bright blue components. There is often confusion as to which ones vendors are referring to when they are selling interior kits. That car has light blue interior but bright blue door panels & seats. Oops!

 Hey Guys,

Here is a recent picture of the interior of my Deep Water Blue SD taken at my pre-purchase appraisal.  Not sure what was changed besides better light conditions.   Documentation says:   Trim:     738 - Medium Blue Buckets.  I have a restored Blue steering wheel to install went it gets here.  Still waiting on TFX Vehicle Transport to get car to me, summer is slipping away, hope it gets here soon.

 Very Nice ! shoulda/coulda/woulda !

The gauges were under dash when I owned it 20 years ago, I don't recall the console clock though I think it had the emblem, it had a factory tach making a clock bump to the console but I think the tach was not on the build sheet (maybe dealer installed or ?)

I keep hounding em.  I guess they don't want to move 1/2 full trailers.  Was hoping for end of July, now looking like 1st week in Aug.

Clock is a new addition (not working it seems). Console blank w/emblem is with the car. I was wondering about tach. seems correct, dealer maybe? Not on sheet.

Roger,

I have seen pics of others with same stitching and it is copied on rear seats. But I'm not an expert. I bet others could tell ya. What color is exterior?Hey are you anywhere near Central Butte? That is where my dad is. May not be close, not too familiar with SK. God Speed with your 66.

Cheers,

Question. Is this car black or is it deepwater blue?

Also the rims, are these called Torq Thrust D's?
