62 Parisienne Question

I'm going to look at some potential parts cars tomorrow and trying to figure out what I'm missing. What goes between the headlight switch and the wiper switch on my 62 Parisienne convertible? It looks like a factory hole, but nothing in it.

Did they have a remote fender mounted mirror?

Oddly enough, there is a remote mirror in the trunk. I thought it was off another car as I don't see a hole in the door, but there is a large hole with two screw holes fore and aft in the driver's side top front fender. It may have been removed when the car got repainted. Could these really come like that?

I've seen it on the Pontiacs in the US wrecking yards but I don't recall seeing a Canadian version. It just seems to make sense though.

I spoke with Pathfinder58 yesterday. He tells me he stripped a 62 Parisienne convert years back that had a round mirror on the driver's fender and a toggle switch in the dash. I noticed also in the trunk is a round mirror with cables and a switch with the same notch that looks like it would fit the hole in the dash. I suspect this is a fairly rare factory option. Maybe I'll throw some pictures on when I get some time.

I will look. I might have a parts picture for it. Later tonight hopefully.

My money is still on it being a factory remote mirror like the US cars I've seen.
