66 bench seat & seatbelt question

Hi guys,

On my 66 bench seat, on each side near the back of the seat is a section where I was certain  a cover went over. I called around and they say that was only available on buckets not benches, but I was pretty sure mine had them years ago, any ideas... where I can get these???

Also when mounting my new front seat belts to the floor, is there a cover for that?

Thank you

Tony

Are you describing the plastic piece that the centre pieces of the seat belt come through on the bench?

No, the one on the side of the bench, I guess its the part that swivels when you move the back of the front seat

Ah, gotcha.

Hopefully someone will have an answer for you. Should be no problem, there's lots of 66-67 Acadian owners here. Going by memory though I don't recall a cover there.

No, Todd is the site creator and Admin.

Do you have Paypal? If so, just go to the bottom of the page and you'll see how to donate.

If not, you can go to the main page and find how to donate using a credit card as well I believe.

Barring that, I've sent a cheque in the mail to him and that is fine too.

heres a seat for  your attention

its shows outboard retractors and rear covers over the belts (where they bolt on)

The plastic pieces that the belts go through my be scrounged from some members?

So what I was talking about was if I don't have retractors, just bolt in to the floor on my 66', was there ever a cover or just direct. Also, right behind the retractor you see the metal finished bar at the bottom of the seats, I don't know what to call that... this pic shows no cover, did a 66' come with a cover or just bare like this pic.
Thanks
Tony

As far as I can recall ( car in pieces ) my 66 never had covers on seat belts or retactors, I think 67 canso had covers.

I think 66 may have had optional retractors and covers but I can't prove it.

I just bought a 66 Grand Prix parts car, and it has covered retractors. However, that is a US car and I don't think I've ever seen covered belts in a 66 Canadian Pontiac.

Hopefully more people will chime in here with there experiences.

Called Rudy for Modern Performance Classics in California, "Nova guru", he confirmed, no covers for either came stock on a 66'.
Thanks for input guys.
