Parting Out 1968 427 Parisienne - CAR IS SOLD -

I REALLY hate to do this guys but after trying several times to sell this car whole in the hopes that someone would step up and restore it - I've decided to risk getting death threats and part it out.  If you are interested (and you have the cash)  - please send me a PM, but be patient - I only check ever couple of days - thanks.

Please note that the engine MUST be sold first (and be a 100% done deal) before any other parts are available.  Here's the brief run down  - all prices are FOB my house in Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island and crating/shipping is extra:

  1. 1968 385hp 427 engine: Rebuilt by previous owner about 8 years ago and car has not been driven since.  Excellent running shape and will be sold as a complete drop-in running unit:  includes carb to pan, fan to flex plate, all belts, pullies, alternator brackets, alternator, starter, exhaust manifolds, complete distributor and all engine related wiring.  Includes everything on engine except air cleaner and PS pump.  $4950 obo - may consider interesting trade too!
  2. Rare original 427 air cleaner $250 (reduced price as base has holes drilled in it)
  3. Rare original 427 Poncho fender emblems $175
  4. PS pump (fits 66-68 396/427 fullsize) works well - $200
  5. TH400 works well around yard - locks up nicely - $250
  6. 2.76 Posi - complete drum to drum  - locks up nicely as well - $250
  7. 4 piston caliper disc brake set up (complete: spindals, backing plates, calipers, master cylinder, prop valve and booster - needs rebuild $200
  8. Original F41 sway bars including 15/16" front and rear bar $350
  9. Rechromed rear bumper $250
  10. Quarter panels (these appear to be NOS originals that were installed not long ago and are very useable - very minor pin-holes on drivers side, lower edges easily hold light magnets $750 pr
  11. Drivers fender (also recent NOS install) $175
  12. Set of 4 15 x 8 Corvette rally wheels "AZ" coded: $250
  13. Recently installed Griffin aluminum radiator and correct 1968 fan shroud $200
  14. Interior bits - cheap
  15. Glass - cheap
  16. Balance of stuff  - cheap
  17. Original protecto-plate and build-sheet: $25 Donation to CP (Pls note this does NOT include the VIN tag and it will NOT be available if car is parted)

Prices are not firm, but will be adjusted up or down based on buyers attitude.

I will sell this car as a complete running project (with the original protecto plate and complete new dual flowmaster exhaust system) for $5,500

If it doesn't sell before I win the lottery I'll buy it and restore it (note: after I win the lottery, just to clarify).  Otherwise, "you can't save 'em all", but you certainly tried your best to give the car a good ending.

If it helps other cars to live, then it's not all bad.  Best of luck to all!

Understood! confuse  Just tell her that I said a 427 Canadian Poncho is way cooler than hot water and renovations... LOL

That'll go over well I'm sure!  smile

Hi 65 Wagon.

Not sure where you are from but the car is in Duncan on Vancouver Island - if you are coming from mainland, I suggest you take the Duke Point ferry leaving from Tsawwassen on the mainland side.  Email or call me well in advance so I can be sure to have everything ready for you.

All the paper work is in order and we can drive that rumbling 427 right up onto your trailer - just remember to bring $5500 cash and you are good to go!

Oh - I almost forgot the most important point - the sale price of $5500 has one condition:  You MUST restore the car.

Cheers!

Well if it all works out, I know of a good frame (last I saw anyhow). The car has been on it's roof for years so no chance of rusting. I think I may have a hood too. If you come out Saturday to the CP meeting, we'll talk.
