Yes, there was a hint of sadness on his part, but he had come to terms with the sale.

Got some cool stories on the car, history if you will. A great guy with a good heart, was

a major part in my decision to purchase. True gentleman.

Thanks for offer on the wheels Dennis, but I have a set of red walls on pontiac rally

wheels that are going on her.

That was a quick change of plan...

We put the car on the hoist yesterday afternoon, had a real close look. When I looked at her, she was in snow, ice etc.

I looked underneath on right side of car frame mint, could not get at left of car properly, so assumed it was good as well.

When on hoist noticed it is soft just below front of drivers door. I do not do frames. So boys no strange plans here or premeditated

evil. I am broken hearted about it, but sometimes you make mistakes, this is one of those sometimes.

Yes car is numbers matching, 396/325hp, one owner, original bill of sale etc. Shame but thats life.

Too bad... you tried your best, but it was already too far gone.

Really disappointing - I really like these cars and was considering it myself, but I also realize you can't save them all.  2 minutes of silence for another one gone... cry

Any chance you could take a bunch of really good pics before you start to dismantle it?  I recall reading on another post that there are a lot of good details there for the restoration guys, since this is basically an untouched original-owner car.  I'm sure it would be of great benefit to the hobby in general as I'm sure there are not a lot of untouched examples left out there.

Did you take any pics of the bad frame for consolation?  I know what rusty east coast cars look like, but am curious how that compares to a rusty Alberta car for future reference...

Thanks very much and so sorry to hear that your purchase went bad. no

i was looking at this one or the 68 from Bc because the were original and i new the frames were suspect, the easiest part of the car to change, quite frankly 67 to 70 frames are very easy to come by and not very hard to change.

The frame is starting to rust through in only one spot, just below front of drivers door, first I have seen them go there.

Rest of frame excellent, its not a hard fix, I just don't do frames, to sub that kind of work out and get it done right can cost

lots of $$$$. i have 40 plus cars and with that kind of collection to maintain and adding another one, I have to watch the budget.

So hence, here on our site to see if it worth parting out.

Whats the price for the whole car?  Sounds as if it would be worth restoring actually.

Since you asked:

My collection with motor cycles, peddle bikes and old farm tractors is closer to 100 pieces.

The cars / trucks are in three categories :

In Building # one cars like the 1967 Pontiac 2+2 are rescued, cleaned, serviced and parked,

these cars may or may not ever be driven. But are started early April and mid to late October.

Sometimes these are offered for sale.

In Building # 2 are the original condition and or restored cars /trucks, these are driven yearly

anywhere from 50 kms to 1000 kms, depending on mood, weather and or occasion, usually weekends.

In Building # 3 are my police interceptors, they range from new hardly driven to daily drivers in spring

and summer this years theme will be Dodge Chargers as daily drivers. This category is my biggest challenge

as their numbers are insanely high (out of control) 25 to 30 are outside in one our compounds, yes neglected.

Motor cycles and bikes are distributed through the buildings as per years and condition of collection

tractors sit outside, amazing how they stand up to the elements.

I have been told I have issues, I do not see it that way, I see it as commitment to my passion.

My system to maintaining adding or selling to collection is regimented, also helps to have friends

who love cars, so when I am timms with my buddies on a sunny saturday, say I going to the farm for a few hours,

well I am sure you get the picture.

Wow!  Sounds like a museum more than a collection!  Maybe you should charge for tours... wink
