66 acadian motor mounts L & R ?

The two motor mounts on the car arent the same, one is longer than the other. Took the car apart 10 yrs ago and can't remember or find a good pick of which one goes on which side. I would think the longer one goes on driver side to clear steering box but thats just a guess. There not marked L or R.  Any Help, Thx Jim

You are correct, long mount, driver's side, mounts point to the back.

If you would swap them side to side it would move the weight ahead and you'd have less wheelie worries!

Properly placed, a SBC sits off center to the right in an Acadian. It is quite noticeable.

Yes, enough to make the first 2 plugs on the right side a bit more difficult to change than the remaining 6.

I think to line up the driveshaft since I don't think the pinion is actually in the centre of the vehicle.

Just my guess anyway...

OK,Now you've really got me thinking, that means the trans tunnel is offset and also would make it difficult to change rear diff, will have to do some measuring.
