Key Question

Hi Guys,

Just out of curiosity....what did the original ignition/door/trunk keys look like for 66/67 Beaumonts. Did it have a GM logo, Pontiac, the twin Maple leaf over the Pontiac emblem?? Looked in previous topics but was unable to locate info.

Kevin

Here's the original keys from a '67.Well used and they've been in a drawer for 20 years.

On the side of the ignition key that you see,it says'ROCHESTER PRODUCTS DIVISION'.The trunk key reverse says'BRIGGS STRATTON MILWAUKEE".

Both keys are the same on the GM side

You can still get the same shape keys as in the picture posted above, but they do not have B & S or Rochester on them (I guess because of copyright laws).

That key ring was bought at Reynolds,Colgate here in Victoria about 1970.And you know, they had a whole  hook full and I only bought one.

By the way,if you look close at the ignition key,you can see the code for cutting a new key under the hole. The trunk key has the same on the reverse.

We are a dealer for Classic Locks out of Texas. They offer both repro & original style keys & lock cylinders GM, Ford & Mopar. Key won't have the Rochester lettering tho'. They do not have a web site so give me an email with request and I will quote in Canadian $
