You are about the first person I've heard refer to the seat by the correct GM name --> "Strato-Back" bench. I gave up years ago and just refer to it as "Strato-Bench". Easier for others to understand what I'm referring to.


 

The GM of Canada options/price list says it's a "Seat, Front Strato Bench" so that's why I have always considered that to be the correct term.

I looked at my Chevy stuff, it's a Strato-Back Bench, looked at my Pontiac stuff and it's a Strato Bench.

I guess it depends if you're a Pontiac guy or a Chevy guy!
