My wife's best friend has a 2002 Grand Prix GTP, 40th Anniversary Edition which she is looking to sell. It is a special edition car so it only came in one colour, purple. It has 44 thousand Km's on it, has never been winter driven and stored in her garage under a car cover when not being driven. As far as I know it is fully loaded including the HUD. Had a new battery installed last spring. Paid $42K new. Looking for $25K. Pics to follow soon. I am posting on her behalf.
NASCAR inspired trim, roof racks, spoiler and embroider seats/floor mats
This car has had ONE owner, LADY driven, NEVER been driven in the WINTER. NEVER been smoked in,DEALER maintained. 4 NEW tires, comes with the factory 'BOSE" sound system/cd player. Other features are; onstar option, cruise control, heated seat (driver side only), power locks, power windows, keyless entryand sunroof. The car is in mint condition. Must see.

Any W body with the series II 3800 SC engines are great cars. I miss my Regal GS. I had a smaller SC pulley, cold air intake, "U bend" removed from the exhaust, free flowing mufflers and it ran very well. It's easy to get low 13's out of these cars.
I'm sure this would be a great car out on the Island Todd! I had an 89 LeSabre T Type with the Gen I 3800 non-supercharged. Had it chipped, and it was an awesome car. Great gas milage and went like a scared rabbit!

It's hard to believe however that a car in immaculate shape, fully loaded, with under 44 000 km's that was $42 K brand new is worth that little... but I suppose that is the reality...
I know, my sister in law is in for a shock when it's time for her car to move on also. She paid a similar price from what I recall.
These are such good cars too. I am NOT a front wheel drive fan but to me the W car platform (GP, Impala, Monte, Allure etc) is the best front drive vehicle GM offers. I base that on what I see coming in to our service area at work.

Other than the engineered obsolescence, it was an awesome car. I would love to buy the car myself, but it's too rich for my blood now that I'm retired...

It would have dropped 50% in 5 years Its 12 years old now She won't like the trade in price (the real w/o discounts)
I did that, but this is based on a bare assed car. it doesn't allow for adding options. The 40th anniversary option alone when new was a $3000 option. I suspect the $10 to $15k range is about right..
And I know she won't be happy if that is the case. It's a great car, but she rarely drives it. So it sounds like she will probably trade it and her truck in as well to get the new car she wants.
'64 Parisienne CS "barn find" - last on the road in '86 ... Owner Protection Plan booklet, original paint, original near-mint aqua interior, original aqua GM floor mats, original 283, factory posi, and original rust.
Great cars we have a 2003 GTP wife drives it every day. I only paid $1600 for it with a blown motor. Pick up a motor for $1200 and put it in so for $2800 she has a nice ride with all the bells and whistles. And its black on black not purple yuck!

Sounds like a woman's thinking She "rarely drives it" so she wants to trade it on another car ? so she can rarely drive it?

No, if she trades it and her truck she should be able to just drive the new car home..no cash..
