Hate to derail your thread but what prep work and type of paint did you use to restore the wheel? Have 1 to do that's why I ask.

cut a grove where there are cracks and use epoxy to fill them (just below the surface)
use surface putty to smooth out the filled groves
when you paint make sure you clear it after to make the paint Harder..\

Nice job Lefty, good info, have to tune up my wheel on the 4 dr for the 2 dr.
