Front bench seat for the convertable

Hi guys. Have a question about a front split bench seat. Another member offer one to me a while back but to ship to Australia out of Vancouver was $2500+. I have found a seat at Franks Pontiac parts in CA, but it's out of an American Pontiac. I know they are different, wider, but would the tracks be a similar width and tin work on the ends the same?

When I first got my 66 Cdn Pontiac it had a 71 Impala seat in it   Only difference seemed to be the side trim  The tracks were the same, as the 66 impala seat I eventually installed...

I "think" the American seat will either bolt in or fit on your existing seat tracks

I've been away but posting late may be better than never!

On the bucket seats at least, the tracks are completely different between Canada/US in 66 Pontiacs.

Thanks for the reply. I have been waiting to check posts myself (kids used all data for month on about the 21st) It is out of a Bonneville, and that's what I thought (too wide). Next question is a Chevy wrecker in CA close to LA for a Impala seat.
