I am curious as to whether the cloth upholstery in an American Bonneville is the same or similar to the material used on our Canadian built Grande Parisienne? The seats in my Grande Parisienne 4 door hardtop are worn and sun damaged and will need redoing and I know that I can source the cloth for a Bonneville - but I am wondering if it is the same as or close to the Canadian cars? SMS Upholstery in Portland, Oregon will almost certainly have the cloth and vinyl for a king's ransom, but there is no way that I am going to find good or new seat upholstery here in Canada - that I am aware of anyways. So if Bonneville cloth is the same or even close to GP cloth, I;d be content to go with that. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
Without a doubt, it can be hard to match cloth. But although I'm talking 67 here, the Canadian Grande Parisienne shares the same cloth seat insert and outer smooth cloth, and side Vinyl as the 67 USA Grand Prix.
Provided it's cloth, I bet the 66 might just be the same.
Full Vinyl is a different story, and can probably be matched very easily through all the grains and colours.
