Question Period ??

We all know our Acadians are unique. As for our rear bumpers, could I buy a Nova bumper and cut in the backup lights,or is the Acadian bumper wider then Novas?Im trying to save $1000.00 to rechrome mine.:beer1:

take it to the US it is 1/2 the price for chrome
front bumper is the same.
if you try and cut them into a bumper how would you handle the indent.
it will drive you crazy if you just use a nova one with out the backup lights
here when i had my car tested they checked the operation of the backup lights

The bumper has quite different stamping in the area where the backup lights go. I don't think it would look very good with just the cutout done, it pretty well needs to be an Acadian bumper to make it look right.

I`m guessing that you`re looking for a 67. Might 66 interchange.

I should be in a yard that has a 66 later this month or in Oct. I'll take a look. The trunk lid nameplate and stainless looked real good when I was there in May.

Anyone with a '66/'67 Acadian will tell you when viewing your car that you have a Nova bumper. I had both of mine rechromed in London ten years ago, the price was around $1500 (cash)but I think they have closed up shop. I would get them rechromed, just my 2 cents

I'm restoring a 1962 Acadian Beaumont convertible I ordered new after market bumpers they were about $250.00 each why not check that out cheaper than re-chroming them

I had a rear bumper done 5-6 years ago at Keystone for $250. They did really nice work for me but they have changed partners or were sold so I don't know if it's the same. It's funny I was searching around for other places and ran across this really complete list for the US.

Turns out it's some environmental protection site or something lol. Thank you Mr. Green for the list!
