I am currently looking for at least a harness for a cluster if not the whole thing for my '66 Grande Parisienne. Previous owner must have just stuck a chainsaw under the dash with how the wiring looks and I am going to just rip out what he did and start over, problem is that none of the connectors are there, he turned everything into spade or bullet connectors and didn't even attempt to wire in the cluster lights or gauges properly. I would even buy all the wiring out of a car if the price was right and the connectors weren't badly damaged; wire condition is not an issue, it can all be replaced. Also in the market for an ammeter and clock if anyone has those too...
Floor shift, pcb looks to be damaged and haven't had the time to really look at it to see if it can be easily repaired.. Have hammered out copper wire in the past to repair the connections on customers cars that you couldn't get replacements for but it's alot of work and if I can just find a cluster or the pcb I would much rather do that haha.
Thanks to Carl I have a perfect cluster and pcb but I am still looking for connectors from harnesses. Will even buy a complete harness out of a car to get all the connectors off of it.
C'mon guys, somebody has to have a 66 parts car to help Mark out here.
Mark, if nothing else, list the connectors you need. I imagine most of them will be the same on a US 66 and I may be near one in a wrecking yard a few weeks from now. I could pull connectors for you but I won't likely have time to do a complete harness removal.

Except for that cluster I got from you, there isn't a connector on the car... everything was connected with bullet connectors or female spades onto terminals like the lights and ignition. The main ones I really want are the lights, heater and ignition as this will allow me to put the dash back together and make things easier in the future. Anything else would be a plus! Do these cars share harness's with the 66 impala? There is a harness with connectors listed for one of those but its almost 700$ and don't wanna spend that on a guess haha.
I know Kevin (CP member Meteor61) has a bucket/console GP parts car. I mentioned the harness to him during a phone call a week or so ago and he had hoped to check. I will PM you his number. He's a great guy and will certainly help you if he can (as in, if he can find the time!)

Now that I'm back from my trip to Europe and have more or less recovered from jet lag and a cold I picked up in Iceland (where else?) and back on the forum, I am sure I have a spare harness from one of my 66 parts cars that would still have the connecters. Let me know if you still need it.
Hey Mark here are pics of what I think is actually the right harness heh heh. I remember now why I didn't use it was that it appeared to have some melting on one wire and there is an end mssing from one other one but the rest is quite intact. Take a good look to see if it is what you need and let me know OK?
That looks more like it, appears to be the right steering column plug.
He will have to work on the hose fuse clips though.
I had that same problem with a melted spot on my headlight switch connector. Lucked out getting a good used one, repaired the wire and terminal, and now I wired the headlights with relays to prevent a reoccurrence of that.

Well that looks more like the stuff I have to plug into it! Rusty and melted beats completely missing so it will be better than what I got! I can most likely clean that up and will just have to track down a new headlight plug. Thanks!
Kind of embarrassing to send the wrong one to Mark but i just haven't been all that sharp these days, as my wife will affirm. The headlight plug is usable as it didn't melt to the point of shorting but a couple of the wires got pretty hot all right. i haven't done a relay conversion to mine yet so I better get on that. That and some LED dash lights and I may be able to drive at night again like back when I actually had good eyesight!
LED light conversion? Now that is something I should do while I have everything apart! Will probably add relays to the headlight circuit as well as looking at these connectors it seems to be a common problem.
