LE stands for 427 ci / 335 hp version attached to a T400 . Found in fullsize B body passenger models ( Impala , Biscayne , Caprice etc...)

I used to own both of those engines and sold them to a fellow in the Toronto area many years ago ....

I still have the car (37004) .... 69 Impala sport coupe that I did the unspeakable thing to ( parted out a #'s match fully documented BB bucket seat F41 car ) . Still have the GM documents

Perhaps someone would like to put it all back together ? Have most of the parts still .

The other car was parted and is history

8- would imply a 68 but no le in 68 just 69. Maybe is a 9 and not an 8 (there is an ie in 68 390 hp 427 manual passenger car )
