Trunk torsion bars

Hey guys,

Thought I better ask before the snow sets in.  Any chance someone can take a couple of pics of how the trunk torsion bars are mounted?  I removed mine a few years back to install a speaker box and forgot how they go back in.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.   My hockey stick kick stand is getting old fast!

Thanks!

Haven't got any pictures but when you go to pry up on ends to put them in the "notch" I used a piece of 1/2" pipe about 6' to 8" long to slip over bar end for "leverage' on my old 64 catalina [sniff sniff] sure missed the big trunk on trip to W.V.

I'm away from my car for a week, but could take a couple of photos of the set up next week if your are not in too much of a rush.

Thanks Lad820.  Whenever you can get around to it would be greatly appreciated!  I'm not in the hugest hurry, as I've been putting up with it for years!

Wow Carl! That is one clean trunk. And it looks exactly like the setup in my 63, so thanks! I was wondering if you'd have a close up of where the torsion bar attaches inside the hinge box. That is the connection point that has me confounded.

Cheers!
