My 68SD about 10 years ago, still own it. How do I enter it in the registry?

Your car looks great. Love the Orange. like to see more pictures.

What drivetrain are you putting together for it?

Been looking for a 66 SD for a while.

Found this one in Victoria last summer and brought her home to Manitoba. Originally a Minnedosa car.

Now I have two projects to keep me busy in my retirement. The Nova SS beside the Beaumont is a 72 that is also a Manitoba car.Planning for both gives me options I might not have considered with one car.

Thanks Carl,

I'm just north of Winnipeg. I referred to a Nova beside the Beaumot in my initial post. Didn't realize my picture didn't make it in until it was too late. Trying again.

Sharp cars Mike

There's a group of us who meet occasionally for a coffee at the Robin's just north of the Mint. Keep your eyes open for a post in the Lounge here, we usually plan it a week or so ahead of time.

No. Both of the cars were delivered new in small town Manitoba.

The Beaumont started out in Minnedosa, the Nova in Altona.

They both have minimal rust. The Nova spent most or all of it's life in Manitoba so it had to have been well sheltered from winter driving. I know the Beaumont was in BC for a few years. Not sure when it headed west, but it also had to of led a sheltered life to be as solid as it is after near 50 years.

That being said, I'll see what's really under their skins when serious work begins.

If I'm correct the Beaumont started life as a 6 cylinder car, now a 307? If it is the same car it had some great options PS PB, posi, HD suspension and the D99 paint divider. I looked at the car in 2009, and the owner at that time had the six cylinder to go with the car. I figured that posi had to be to deal with Manitoba winters!

You are correct. That's the car. I bought it from a new friend who had bought it from the chap that apparently has that original 6 cyl engine tucked away. We discussed the engine and I hope to get my hands on it to complete the numbered package but won't put it back in the car.
Makes me wonder whether this car is in such good shape because of its heritage as a non-performance sport model.

Thanks for the kind words.  While it doesn't hold a candle to your '66, the rally's are a timeless look in my opinion.  Right up there with the Torque Thrusts.)
