Stuff only becomes illegal if ya get caught.I know of a couple 65 beaumont customs that have had tags swapped with rusted out SDs and have become SDs, now owner claims cars are legit, which they are not.Makes me wonder why there are so many SDs out there compared to Customs, it seems like there are more SDs now than were produced.

He's being kind of blatant. He should have sold the rusted hunk of the car, tags and all, with an "understanding", if he wanted to illegally sell a car's ID. Then, what the new owner does, is the new owner's problem.

By-the-way, I have a set of tags for a triple black (black vinyl top) '68 Parisienne ... (not for salesmile).

Yes I have some for a 65 Beaumont 2 door hardtop SD, never thought anyone would be interested in them. There was interest in the rocker chrome though.

Same deal with Chevelles and Novas       more SS Chevelles and Novas on the road than the number built

Seems like $3K buys more in the USA than Canada...at least one comes with desirable S/S parts and the SD nothing but a tag.

Well I got caught on the top too!!!!  1st. glance it looks like a rag top with all the wrinkles, & foggy back window then saw the roof line & clued in!!!!!
