Figured its going to be a long winter, not as long as the 10 month Alberta winters though.

So im thinking of repairing my tail light and reverse lights exc.You know all that pot metal pitted stuff/

should I use silver solder or can I get that muggy weld in Canada?Or should I just let the platers do it??

Whats your thoughts boys and tips.Im bored I need something to do.

I've heard of Muggy Weld for years (who can forget a name like that smile), and I've seen the videos on the internet, but I've never known anyone to actually use it.

If you are getting parts re-chromed Doug, I'd probably let the chromers fill and buff out the pits ... but that's just me.

I've always wondered if the chromers could chrome over Cold Weld epoxy. That stuff is tough, heat resistant, and probably a lot easier to use than silver solder/Muggy fills. I love the results I get using Cold Weld, when I use it.

Yup, let the chrome shop tune them up,might cost you more if they have to fix what you did.
If your bored I could always send you my beltline trim to polish or maybe the whole car, then you could just ship her back to me donebiggrin
