This baby could be for sale...

...how's everyone? Haven't been on here in a while. The ragtop is up for the winter now but pretty soon my son may have to part with it. It's called the family thing! How many of us have had to go thru the agony of selling our pride and joys due to "the family thing"? First a wife and now a daughter (wonderful but...). The Porsche's going to have to go too because baby has to fit in the back seat. Anyway...some pics are below. Some of you will remember the car. BC/AB car all its life. Don't have a clue as to price yet but if anyone's interested let me know and we can talk directly. I'm in a bit of a time crunch right now but if anyone wants me to post details on the car I'd be happy to. Some info is on my avatar I think...

Best in Pontiacs to all...  smile

prolly a GOOD idea.....but she is likely NOT gonna go for it......

Personally,I'd sell the wife....baby ...AND the overrated import sports car....and keep the NICE CAnadian built Pontiac....

Maybe even find some "cool" wheels for it?   biggrin

...so one of you doesn't like Porsches and thinks he's going to sell the baby (at least he won't throw her off a bridge like the guy in FLA), and the other doesn't like the wheels.......OK

Hey Neil, you and your son put a lot of work into this car. Why the potential sale?

Hi PC, as I said up top, family...it's tough thing to have to do as he and I really love the car, but both of us (I'm a realtor and he's a financial planner) are both so friggin' busy all the time that we never even get time to drive it let alone what we really like to do, which is work on and improve it. But I think he'll still have some fun 'cause it looks like for his daily driver he's going to move to a Merc C63 AMG...452 big ones and baby can fit in the back! Anyway, just thought I'd let the group know that that's probably what's going to happen and see what interest there might be in it. A couple of guys have PM'd me already and we're chatting, so we'll see what happens. And thanks for the kind words..

Best to all...

....thanks rabbit64...I love Torq-Thrusts too...your's look great...but my son being younger wanted the 20's with the car in the weeds, which I like as well...all a matter of taste and we can all like a variety of styles...it'll be tough to see her go...

I am thinking maybe we need to move this in to the "Cars For Sale" and put a price on it?

This is sounding quite a bit like a For Sale ad and those need to have a price here on Canadian Poncho.

I hope you didn't take my silly comment the wrong way. I understand the reasons that lead to the tough choices people make.  The car is beautiful, and one of my favorites for a long time (even when I was on a tricycle back in the 1960s). I wish you all the best in whatever you decide to do. Whatever is done for family is done for the right reason. smile

...thx a lot CDNGMFan, and Carl, I hear ya and will check further with my son. Problem was he wasn't 100% and just wanted to test the waters. If you want to move it with a price I'll try to get him to decide 100% and establish one for you...wasn't trying to misuse the site....

No worries, and I want to be fair with you too.

Thanks for working on it.

...yeah, kind of "large" ones...you need tires with crampons on them to climb them and at least a full-boogie 409...
