1963 Pontiac Parisienne, 2 doors with 409, restoration progress

Carlos,
If you go to a site called S.D. Numerique, not sure of their website address, this is a guy from St.Georges and there are several photos dating back from the 1940's to the 1970's and there is definitely a photo of J.W. Morin on it, I have seen at least a couple. J.W. Morin was the Pontiac, Buick, GMC dealer in Saint-Georges de Beauce for many years, they were located on the 2nd Avenue and had a used car lot just across from their dealership. For a while I was doing deliveries to many shops in the area and they were a customer of ours, I worked for GM Electrical, AC Delco at the time.

It has been completed several months ago, in early spring. It was entered in the Autorama show in Quebec City and won 1st prize for the restoration and I believe 2nd for best in its class.

The owner has been driving it moderately this summer where it is stored at his cottage. He also learned from the group that looks after the GM archives that there were only two Pontiac Parisienne, two doors in 1963 that had the 409 engine, 4 speed and police package. The other one could also be a coupe or a convertible, the information available did not discern between these two body styles.

Apparently there were also some 4 door Strato Chief with 409 but these were police cars.

Good day! Ive come across your post. So this 1963 Pontiac Parisienne 2 door sport coupe is 1 of 2 with a 425 409 and a 4speed? I have a few questions about the car, has it since been confirmed that it is indeed 1 of 2? I picked up over the weekend what I believe to be the other one. 1963 Parisienne 2 door sport coupe 409 duel quads and a 4speed. I also have VVS paperwork from 1996 confirming that it is a real deal 409 car. However it states that production numbers on the 409 cars where unavailable at the time. This specimen is black with a red interior. It is in unrestored condition, and over all quite solid. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Unfortunately the owner of this car hasn't been on our forum since 2016. You could try sending him a private message. If his email is still the same he will get a notification.

Tbayguy96, I received two correspondence from VVS, the first one on June 8/2016, indicating that this car had the same mechanical specifications as Chevrolet Impala model 1847. and they added to please note that no record exists of how many RPO L/33 409 CID 340 HP V8 engine were sold in Canada.
I also talked with George Zapora on the phone and he asked me to send a photo showing the cowl tag as they had never seen one with the code CSL-14G on it, although they knew of its existence. So I did and on June 30, 2016 I was sent a second letter indicating that the cowl tag showing CSL-14G refers to a 4 speed transmission. Unfortunately this CSL-14G number does not show in their microfilm so they cannot verify it. The L-33 engine was the 409 CID, 340 HP 4 bbl V8. Records show that only 2 Parisienne car in model range 7847 (2dr sport coupe) and 7867 (convertible) were built with the L/33 and CSL-14G combination, that could be one of each or two of either one, again it is not possible to tell without the other VIN number.
So this is in essence what was received from VVS. I also have a copy of the order from the dealer when the first owner ordered it and with all the equipment specifications. The original owner traded his 1957 Pontiac Sedan and in the end had to pay $2730 after trade-in.

Tbayguy96, I do not own the car, it is owned by my best friend where I come from in Quebec. I have seen and driven the car every time I visit at home, it is kept in a climate-controlled garage along with another 5-6 cars now, he sold about half of his collection before Covid as he had too many cars to care for. This Pontiac is restored to what it was like originally in 1963. I will see it again likely in June when I go home, I currently live in Winnipeg.
