Still one of my favourite cars I've ever had. My "beater" with the 6 speed was fun because I could drive it 24/7/365. The nice all original car with low miles and the automatic was just a GREAT cruiser. They ride great, handle great for a big boat and are a ton (or two!) of fun to drive. They're way too quiet stock though, they sound nice with a pair of Flowmasters or something similar.

I have to admit I don't agree with Earl's statement that they aren't great in snow. With a good set of tires on them I'd say it was one of the better snow cars I've ever had but then again, I've only ever owned one front wheel drive car in my life (for only a few months) and I owned it long after the SS's were sold so it's hard to compare.

Thanks for the tip Carl. I might try it in the Pt. Huron & Detroit Mich. kijiji sites. As for snow driving I'm getting to old to push that heavy slug out of the ditch! I'm far too used to having a FWD or 4x4. Living here in the snow stream area off of Lake Huron waking up to a foot of snow after going to bed with dry roads sucks.
I'm starting to think I might keep the SS for a cruiser as I do love the way these slugs ride. Not as wallowy as my Caprice or RWD Cadillac. My back doesn't bug me after a 2 hour drive like it does in a F body like the T/A or any sport type car. Even with all the klms on it it's still tight. I might get the driver seat bottom re cushioned or replaced as the former owner was a big guy and its a tad flat.
I just have too many cars and no room without paying too much for storage so I have to thin out. But I do want to have a summer cruise nite car.
I'm driving a Canadian Poncho though!
An Oshawa built 2007 Grand Prix Aero pkg GT. It's a very nice ride. Loaded up like a STS.
I also have a 1996 Impala SS, Possibly for sale, but I think the market is a little soft right now, mine is also black, original owner, with 51,000 orig kms,we will have to wait and see in the spring, good luck with yours,The T/A looks fantastic..
