Maybe because the rocker trim isn't right?

 Ya, I saw that ... the CS trim is non-existent (I don't know what type of car's trim they put on it, not Parisienne) ... and I don't like the wheels (and I know they can go away). The car still doesn't thrill me.

Regular Parisienne trim:

 Color with white roof and rims all seem to be a miss match for me. Why is it that everyone can spend money on HP upgrades to go fast but never do anything with the brakes to stop fast?????? Still running a single master.no

 I don't understand why anybody wants to upgrade the brakes on these cars....

 If the stock parts are serviced and in spec/working properly....the factory brakes work fabulously.....

The swept area on the front shoes/drums is HUGE......

I think most people condem the factory brakes because they are NOT working properly.......then they think they need upgrades and LIKE spending $$$ and installing shiny parts....

A tandem M/C in not needed if your emergency brake is working properly....and the operator is smart enough to apply it gradually   if needed....

PLUS...it totally detracts from the originality of these FINE cars....

A 64 Canadian Pontiac with 283 2bbl. PS...PB and a 'glide is an engineering MARVEL...and STILL does the job it was designed to do VERY efficiently...50 years later.....even MORE so now that gas has become much more affordable....

         I agree   I have had several drum brake cars and they work well

Disc brakes;

If you've added just a little more muscle and handling to your classic, then you'll quickly realize that drum brakes are just not going to cut it. Two high speed stops and you're flat out of coupons.

Original, low power parade cars are just fine with them though. wink

Sharp looking 64

I have 3 drum brake cars. Only the 67 Toronado can be a bit scary. Just drive carefully.
