I can find it for you if you like but honestly I would say from years of experience is the best spark plug to run in a GM is the original correct AC Delco plugs for your application.

 Yep, correct. That's the hottest plug, good for putting around ... what I use. R43 is the coldest (and R44 middle), better for "racing around".

Congrats on the purchase!  From the pics you look like you have a really nice, clean, original survivor-type car.  They are getting harder to find these days.

As far as the number of doors, consider this: the 4-door pillarless hardtop is likely one of the most rare body types left out there now.  It is also a body type that will most likely never be offered by a carmaker again.  It's a very special car, actually.

Enjoy it, you have a nice one there!

We have a fellow on here, with a 67 I think,  that is getting a bigger motor or Diesel  or something    

Its a Russian car he's working on.. or he speaks Russian    biggrin

Great lines on a 4 door hardtop.  Good score on a very elegant ride.  That drivetrain should last you your lifetime if it has been treated decently. The only mod I would do is to stick a pertronix conversion on the orginal distributor so you'll never have to mess with changing points again. I've got them on a couple of my cars and I just don't worry about the ignition system.

 Thanks for the compliment and the info the timing couldn't be better (pun intended)  I'm actually in the process of changing plugs wires distributor cap rotor etc and bought points but they were a 2part and I need a combo but now I think I want the pertronix option! What did it cost you to convert?

With the Pertronix you keep the stock cap and rotor and just toss your points.  I think they go for about $100.00 but its been a while since I bought one.

 Bit more than points but set it and forget it.

I took your advice and bought the ignite system including the flame thrower coil. Ignite was 125 and coil was 60. Performance improvements had it in stock.
