RE: 1968 Parisienne front park lenses.

I didn't intend for us to derail the thread about park lenses, but it looks like we have.

From what I can tell, the 1967 & 1968 2+2's are referred to as Parisienne 2+2's.  And yes, they have a different model # than Parisienne's.  They do however carry both Parisienne & 2+2 badging.   So I would call a 1967 or 1968 2+2 as a Parisienne 2+2.

For 1969, I have literature for them being referred to as both 2+2's and Parisienne 2+2's, and as 68 427 indicates above there is no Parisienne badging.  There is different model #'s for a Parisienne and a 2+2.   For 1970, I have not seen any literature referring to them as Parisienne 2+2's, and there is no Parisienne badging.  Again there is different model #'s for a Parisienne and a 2+2.

OK, I SEE WHERE I WAS CONFUSED. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A '69 2+2 BEING CALLED A PARISIENNE 2+2. MY '69 NEW CAR BROCHURE AND GM VVS DOCUMENTS JUST CALL IT A 2+2. THOSE ARE REALLY THE ONLY OFFICIAL REFERENCE PAPERS I HAVE FOR 69'S. THE FACT THAT '69 AND '70 ARE BOTH BADGED AS 2+2 ONLY AND USE THE SAME MODEL# TO INDICATE A 2+2 WOULD, IN MY OPINION, MAKE THEM THE SAME MODEL. AS FAR AS THE DE-RAILING GOES, THE ORIGINAL POSTER ASKED A QUESTION ABOUT 2+2'S, SO HE DE-RAILED HIS OWN THREAD. LOOKS LIKE HE GOT THE INFO HE NEEDED REGARDING THE LIGHTS, SO I'M SURE NO HARM WAS DONE.

Hey guys, No harm done in "Derailing" the thread. It's always good to get as much info on these Parisienne's as I can. Thanks again for all the info, much appreciated.

Steve.
