Here some more pics showing the difference in the pins. You can see that the front grill emblem has larger pins that use the speed nut attachment method and has only two pins. The trunk emblem has four small push in style pins with clips . Now the front emblems two out side pins do line up perfectly with the two out side holes in the trunk. You see the bottom pic shows the trunk emblem with the front emblems black backing plate on it and the two outside pins line up. To make it work you would have to drill out the two outside trunk holes to the correct larger pin size. There is a hole on the under side of the trunk lid that you might be able to put on one of the speed nuts on but you would have to drill a small access hole over the other one to attaché the other speed nut as there is no line up hole.

So the trunk emblem has 4 pins. I will have to drill 4 holes when
I get one from Dales Beaumont reproduction Trunk emblem for 69.
I will need a template because my lid was from a chevelle or ?.
Thank you 👍
Good info

I used a grill emblem on mine and just drilled the holes for the two pins, then drilled
the larger holes through the backside to install the speednuts. This also makes the emblem very secure, its
not easily pried off by some %$#@ole collecting rare emblems for the wall.
