Forsale is my 1955 Chev 4 Dr sedan 210, Only 30,900 original miles, wearing 90% of its original paint, Never touched 265 V8, 3 spd on the tree, Must be seen.
I AM IN LOVE. With the factory 265 V-8 too, factory paint...........sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. A painful curse upon anyone who defaces and defiles this sweet 55. I will say an old car prayer and hope it does not end up in a house of horrors. Cheers. George.

Thats the Knox 55 chevy from winnipeg, i looked at it in the original owners garage back about 10 years ago, pretty sure the mileage was WAY lower then, quite a history and story behind that car. The family owned a gas station on st marys rd.
Its a 100 % original untouched car, original paint and everything, i think it had the original tires when i saw it. It had an oil change sticker on the door from i think 1964, and the mileage was still within a couple thousand miles of the sticker.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
For sure a car that has made it that long without being molested deserved to stay that way. Besides a rodded 4 door has never done much for me and they way it is now its quite a capable car to keep up with traffic. The only problem is the low mileage. it would drive me crazy to own a car that I essentially would be devaluing everytime I took it out for a cruise. So its sits in the garage? Doesn't make sense to me. A museum is probably where this car belongs as a time capsule.
Nice original car ... love it (except for the poopy colour ... not my first choice).
At that price it won't be hot-rodded.

Nice car, I just do not remember that colour, anyone? Brian
It looks like the Canyon Coral or the Navaho Tan but i forget the proper names for 55. I could live with the colour because i love 50's pastel colours. I am just a 50's kind of guy.

I would say Navaho Tan. I remember a 55 BelAir convertible in that colour when I was a kid. Isn't one of my favorites, but you have to leave it as its original paint for the most part.
The more i look at this car the more i love it. It looks like the ad is gone, so he either sold it or got tired of tire kickers, dreamers and test pilots.

A friend of mine called about the car. It has been sold for asking price So it must have been a diamond! Bob.
"Got asking price" i am glad to hear that, there might be some hope after all. I only hope it went to the right person. Over the years i have seen survivor cars just like this totally destroyed by numb skulls. George.

My vote is for Pueblo Tan, since Navaho is poly (metallic) and available with 2-tones only.
Not my favourite colour either, but there would be no way on this earth that I would ever change the colour of such a nice original car.
I would say worth every penny of the asking price if it is as good as it looks in the pics. A time capsule.
It is a very nice car and that is the Knox (I think the correct spelling is Nocks) Garage 55 Chevy from St Vital here in Winnipeg-there is a Kentucky Fried Chicken where the garage was. The car was in a garage down the street from me. My dads friend grew up on the bay where the car was and remembered it as a 56 Chevy 2 door post-so I was a little disappointed but it was/is still pretty cool! We went to look at it at least 10 years ago in the 2 car garage that was divided by a false wall with a small opening to get through. I took pictures and I still have them although it would take me some time to find them. The car was bought new by the womans dad and she was at least 75+ years old when I looked at it. It was driven until about 1965 then sat until about 1980 when the gas tank, radiator and other tune up items were gone through. Then it sat again. There were some resprayed areas on the car, as the women told me the car was stolen in the mid 1960's and recovered with some damage. Very nice car though. A relative of the family ended up with it about 6-7 years ago that worked at a GM dealer in Portage La Prairie, MB. I could have bought it for around 4,000 when I looked at it but I didn't want a 4 door. It had approx. 23,000 original miles when I looked at it. Too bad it didn't stay in Manitoba. The car is painted a metallic brown for sure I looked at it. It was for sale here 2 years ago for $10,500. I liked the fact that it was a 265 stick not an automatic. Yes that is Shadelite tinted glass all the way around!

Oh my dear sweet God, you have got to be freaking kidding me with this crap. Here is a perfect survivor 55 and you want to make a dime a dozen conversion out of it. Now go to the corner of the room and bow your head down in shame. . George.

Not really "a total crappy idea" George.
- and I bet the subject car, is still offered for sale next year / unless the $13k asking price is slashed
Even mr409 found a nice example a decade ago, for $4000...there lies the true problem, in some models.
So anyone is welcomed to pony up and purchase the 4 door (and give it the home it deserves) or let market forces make it appeal to more buyers.
If I inherited that car, a quality conversion would be hard to ignore.
- plus I am bias to the 2 door post '55's, and had one 45 years ago / another old ladies 210, true garage find
