Mini tub ??

Hi guys need alittle help.I bought the DSE mini tubs for a 67 nova which is the same body style as the Acadian. However my trunk hindes do not bolt in,they are welded in.Anyone out there with an Acadian that's done these, and what did you do for your trunk flange/brace?

A good friend of mine has tubbed his 65 here and he put in some mini hydraulic hinges, really slick. It is a little while since I last looked at his car so can't quite remember where he mounted them but it sure works slick.

Is there not a way to re-fasten the brace to the mini tubs?

Found this on Nova site on a 65

67 is different.I guess the novas hinges unbolt, then you cut 1/4" below the seem on drivers side.As you see on the Acadian they don't bolt in,so im woundering where abouts

to cut them?Passenger side should be alittle easier I hope?Trunk hinges 001.jpgTrunk hinges 003.jpg

Just cut off at bend where spot welded to inner tub, I wouldn't cut the upper mounting part off cause you'll never get the torsion rods to work proper. The part I circled is exactly 90 deg from horizontal body line or 0 deg vertical ( straight up and down).Bend out of the way, put in tubs and trim until the same. Just what I would do, no pro. If it don't work PM me for all the bad language your going to use.
