If rust is going to be anywhere in would be around the wheel wells in the trunk.

By the pictures it looks like a different (semi) gloss on roof ... it seems it's been painted from the fender tops down art some point.

 Yeah, you're probably right, Darryl.  Hard to tell from the pics, but the quarter may have some cheese in it as well.
