1962 Parisienne Door Window Questions

I want to give my doors to a guy fixing up a 62 Impala. My doors are 2 door hardtop, Impala is convert.

Just wondering if the windows and no-drafts are interchangeable. I know the rear windows and regulators are different, but was thinking maybe the door regulators, glass and no-draft assemblies might be the same.

What about the strike plates and door lock mechanisms? They look like Impala in the pictures.

Anyone know for certain?

Not 100% sure, but pretty sure they are the same....I believe only the door skin is different

I'm thinking if the Impala was a hardtop, the parts would probably interchange but I'm pretty sure the windows are a little different on a convertible.
I could be wrong so don't put too much weight on what I'm saying, but I'm pretty sure all the windows, including the windshield are shorter on a convertible.

I just went into the part books for 62 Pontiac and Chevy. The door glass does not show as being an interchange between convert and 2 door hardtop.

The regulators, vent glass and door latches are the same part numbers for both vehicles.

Hope that helps.

 Greetings bryankdodge !

I've seen a number of good doors out west here, for your car. They're just so expensive to ship. Big and heavy.

Welcome aboard.

I am pretty sure that the vent window and door glass are the same, as are the roll mechanisms, even in a hard top. I did a bunch of changing in a 62 wagon I was building. But of course they were not hard top doors.I actually took the vent windows out of the door and made the glass one piece. Although I never finished it - I had them working with a template.  The door seals and such are all the same as a Chevy. When I ordered the interior for our 63 it was all Chevrolet Biscayne twin stuff.

I ordered the entire interior package from Legendary through the guys at CARS INC.  They were really helpful.

Hope this will help some.

Out on the island there is a fellow "Dave" owns Tin Man Auto.I purchased a driver's door and a trunk lid from him,he was great.A very good friend had a driver out that way and brought them back for $200.00. Now I still need a good right door, mine's really tough, needs a lot of work.

Our group is quite familiar with The Tin Man as he used to contribute and help sponsor this site.
