Wow, huge let down for everyone involved. Does it have a correct conv. frame? Does not appear to be boxed.

Wow, that is sad. Still a pretty car, still has value for sure. Just not the 30K kind of value.

A real shame for the family for sure.  Put this type of issue does not surprise me in the least.   Probably true of most "restored" cars for sale on the internet these days, covered in shiny paint, and blown off to the next unsuspecting buyer.

No,  that is not a convertible frame!  leads me to want to check if it is really a convertible?

Doesn't look like a convertible frame, but I'm no expert on these cars.

Well it cost me all together 400 Dollars to get this car car checked out properly but saved me thousands in the long run.

Unfortunately it is the second one in two weeks that has cost me cash to check out and they both have been a bust . Starting to lose faith in some car guys. I think I am going to stop looking unless I can go and see it in my own province and check it out myself. Unfortunately it makes me lose faith in car people !! Even though this car was bought that way and they did not even know themselves. At least they were a well to do family ,even still you should be able to get what you pay for no matter how much wealth you have .

I am just lucky Jerel helped me out organize the inspections and found out the truth before I would be the one losing thousand of dollars .

I think its sad you lump all car guys in the same box...  Millions of car guys out there...  I have bought a dozen cars since 2000   All except 1 were as described and more....

And 400-800 is pocket change on a 25-30 grand car  (2 cents)

Yes, it should have a boxed frame if it is indeed a real convertible.

I am pretty sure some car guys does not mean to lump all car guys !

Man, that sucks that you had it happen on two cars! There truly is a huge pile of junk out there that one has to sift thru to find a real honest car!
Better to find out now though.
