I really like this car.

Question for the numbers guys: how many Super Sports with 427 were built compared to SS427s?  I would think that either would be quite rare and even moreso if Canadian built...

I like it too....    its Spring and 26,000.00 plus 13% tax  is not bad for a  Automatic car

I would have like to have seen it dressed like a 427 under the hood and the right wheels, but that stuff is a easy fix, but cost money

I think Kevin T  has 5 or 6 of these cars....

Nice car!!
I know he is not claiming it is a real SS 427 but he has a combination of SS 427 and Impala SS with a 427 emblems etc.
SS 427 and Impala SS with 427 were actually two different models with different trim and emblems.

Thanks
Randy

A friend told me he seen a 67 SS 427 hood sell in the U.S, for $3500 and it wasn't mint. Back in the late 80's I had a chance to buy a real 1967 SS427 4 speed Impala in very good condition for less than $10G's. I never thought the full sizers would get so expensive.

And he likely has all of that $26,000 invested in it with all that's he's listed, if he had to paint it too.

In high school Bedford Nova Scotia a guy I went to school with had a 68 SS 427 red convertible with white interior, power windows and loaded. It was on its 2nd or 3rd engine by then and smoking bad! He traded it for a SS Nova 350 4 speed. Last time I saw it was on a used car lot around 1974. It was less than $1000.

There's an article in the first issue of Bone Stock magazine with a fellow who has one of each, both convertibles and both 4-speeds.

FWIW, the mixture of trim and emblems on the car in the ad doesn't bother me at all.  I think it just looks cool as is!

A 4-speed would make it better though... wink

Agreed, he's not trying to pass it off as something it's not, which is refreshing!

We documented a 1968 SS427 Custom roofline back in 2009 and there were only 20 built at Ste. Therese according to GMVVS.

That sounds pretty cool, Ray.  Is there a thread about that car on here?

Thanks Ray, I'll read through it when I get a chance. It didn't turn up when I searched for SS427.

It looks vaguely familiar, though, I may have seen it before? (memory is not so good these days... lol)
