65 Acadian 2 door hardtop Manitoba - price is $3,000

Hi - my apologies if this is already a known car to this site

Anyway it is showing up on the website for  Bill Harrison - Bill has been saving old stuff long before many other people cared about old cars

http://www.vavavoomgarage.com/photos.html

for people who go to the Winnipeg May swap meet Bill is a regular there - apparently he wanting to downsize on his inventory

Anyway probably some other Manitobans know of Bill and possibly this car

PS - I don't know how current the site is and whether the car is still there

I talked to Bill at the sunday swap meet and got more details - the car is missing the grille

Anyway it is neat website to check out

I like the expression that..  Bill has been "saving old stuff"         sounds better than won't sell Hoarders

Mine too, but downsizing was necessary and the timing seemed good. I miss the car but I don't regret doing it.

I emailed the buyer of my 65SD an hour ago and told him to give it a hug. Today is 50 years to the day that it was shipped from Oshawa headed for Winnipeg, 4-27-65.

He was a member here before that, actually, that is how we came to know each other and made the deal, through CP.

He did put a stereo in it. When I practically yelled at him in an email (well, not really but he could tell I was cringing!) he assured me he had cut nothing up to do it. Other than that, he apparently has done nothing else to it other than have the Muncie rebuilt and the front end aligned. I had warned him that the front end was not aligned and he said it drives nice now. Also told him about the weird problem that it shifted up into 2nd fine but you could not shift down into 2nd without first trying to shift down to first, then into second. He said it had a broken syncro in it.

I hope to go to the Yukon to visit him and the car some day! I agree, I think the 65 Acadians are one of the best looking Acadians ever.
