Want to replace my dash harness on my 69 Beaumont...I'm assuming I need a GTO harness, not a Chevelle harness but want to double check with the experts!
Tinman supplied me with a minty 69 Beaumont harness for my 69 GTO. There are colour differences on a few wires creating some issues as I needed to convert to gauges from idiot lights. I specifically recall a brown wire in the Beaumont harness that is a different colour wire in the goat (just can't remember). Other than that the harness physically plugs in. Sorry I currently lost interest in my 69 so it's been in storage and has not run since the wiring swap.
As I always suggest to people working on wiring, do yourself a favor and get a 1969 Beaumont service manual. The service manual will contain the wiring diagrams. The diagrams will list the pertinent colors.
Be careful if you're getting a 69 Pontiac service manual for the GTO wiring, as the reproduction manuals don't do very well on the wiring diagrams as they're normally fold out and the reproduction books are basically single page drawings.
Thanks for the info. I am replacing all of the harness, so I am hoping everything will just plug in as original. My concern was with the dash harness since the dash on the GTO and Beaumont are the same (gauges, etc) it only made sense to me anyway, that the GTO dash hareness was the way to go.
Well, I got my 69 GTO dash harness and found out the ignition switch connectors are different. I called the manufacturer, and they told me there is a second ignition circuit on the GTO that isn't on the Chevelle so now I'm getting a little worried. The other connections seem to match up with my original. I'm now guessing that the Beaumont used a Chevelle steering column (and switch), but still think I need the GTO harness for the gauges. Does anyone one know if the Chevelle harness will work, or was the Beumont dash harness a hibrid.

I have to echo what was said on here about the Tin Man. I got a perfect dash harness off him for my 66 Beaumont SD
