Beaumont seat belt clips

Did Beaumonts originally come with seat belt holder clips? (attached to the floor console)

Anyone know if these are what is required? and if so...How do they mount to the console?

I'd say no for 66.

We have clips on the console of the '67.The original owner gave them to me when we bought the car, saying he never got around to putting them on.IMG_1365.jpg

Yes, I believe 67 to be the first year for those clips.

I've seen them but couldn't even hazard a guess as to what they would be original on. But they sure do solve the problem of where to flop the belts when not in use. Convenience, plus.

For what it's worth if anyone is interested, here's a post from 'Chevelle Tech' from many years ago discussing the question whether Chevelle consoles came with clips.

They're talking Chevelles on the post, not Beaumonts,so the question still isn't answered for Beaumont owners.

if you have access to a 1967 Chevelle assembly manual, it shows where they are mounted for an automatic as well as a 4 gear. measurements and all!!

I had a 67 Beaumont SD in the 80's and it had them mounted on the sides of the console.

Mine has never had them...I'm pretty sure the console is original, and it's an early build.
