Pontiac Grande Parisienne 66 1966 - 283 2 BBL Very Clean - Drive it This Year!
You can easily have this one on the road this spring. Extremely straight car obviously babied by prior owners over the years. 3rd nonsmoking owner selling due to medical bills. Do not be deterred by salvage title. Car was once part of a large collection that was written of by insurance adjuster due to a few paint blemishes on hood from popping embers of nearby fire. The car was not otherwise hurt at all by this and the paint blemishes do not show up in pictures (too hard to see). Now has good Ohio title. Upgraded sound system hidden behind authentic look under dash Pontiac tissue holder. I blew up your picture again, I just love the look of the 66 tail panel...!
Boy, I wish I had a parts car so I could help you out with a latch.
I am betting someone here can help you.
If not, we have a member in Manitoba (who seldom has time to be on here) who has a 66 GP parts car, I bet he can help you.
Did you notice the seat belt retractors with covers and the remote mirror? I have a hole for the mirror control covered with duct tape, and a extra hole on the outside of the door My car was maybe a racer ?
Yes, I saw those retractors. I am having to admit that my thinking was wrong all these years, there's way too many covered retractor style 66 belts for it not to have been an option. I always thought 67 was the first year but this site has taught me otherwise.

I think I will stick with the ones you sent.... since they were in Ken's Dads car
The bucket seat side panels(you sent extra) were a pain to re-finish and install, but do add another correct detail to the car
The belts (you sent) are nice as well and I found the jack base and hook and wing nut (you sent)
that will be nice with the space saver spare I have.... adding some new tunes to the exhaust this week Flowmaster Super 40's
speaking of other tunes I decided to leave the original am radio unhooked and run it with only engine sounds.....If I want blaring music I can use my truck

Yeah I noticed those too. It would be good to get a shot of the firewall tag too. Mine that I think are correct are on a pretty early production car. maybe his are too. I know my dad ordered deluxe seat belts with retractors and got the metal reels ( which 427 Carl has now)
Good pictures. All the trim on the Grandes is outlined in black. Like I say some is easy to find like the lower bodyline trim (same on Parisiennes) but some is exclusive to the 66 Grande, so with 5147 two door and about 1200 4 door hardtops made the donor pool is kind of small.
